DDP Disney Disney World Florida

Ranking Magic Kingdom Quick-Service Locations

Magic Kingdom, Disney Dining Plan, DDP, WDW, Walt Disney World, quick service, food, restaurants, theme park,

No matter who you ask. You will find a different answer for which quick service location is the best in the Magic Kingdom. You shouldn’t be surprised. After all, we all have different tastes. We each like different things.

Maybe you are on a quest for the perfect hot dog. Maybe you are looking for some amazing fish and chips or the perfect french dip sandwich. One thing that is true about the Magic Kingdom quick service locations.

There are a lot of them with a wide variety of them. Ones that offer quick bites to eat. To ones that have a more sit down type of feel. Today we are going to rank all the quick service locations at the Magic Kingdom.

Remember this is just our opinion and yours might be different. Just use this as a tool to help you plan. You can also check out our post on the Best Quick Service locations on the Dining Plan and the 13 most popular Quick Service Locations at Walt Disney World.

13. CASEY’S CORNER

Casey's, hot dog, Magic Kingdom, Disney Dining Plan, DDP, WDW, Walt Disney World, quick service, food, restaurants, theme park, foot long,

I don’t know about you but I am not a fan of this place at all. The seating area is horrible. Half the time you either need to circle the area like a hawk waiting for someone to finish or you do find a table with no chairs. Most of the time we end up sitting on the ground to eat or find one of the Famous WDW trash can tables.

As for the food. The hot dogs are nothing to write home about. You can get a better hot dog at a 7 eleven or the local hot dog man in your hometown. Now the corn dog nuggets are pretty good but even then not worth the wait. Of course, they do have mobile order so that does help.

  • SEATING: 1 out of 10 (at least there’s an area with seats)
  • DON’T EAT: Any of the hot dogs
  • DO EAT: Corn Dog Nuggets

12. TOMORROWLAND TERRACE RESTAURANT

Only open seasonally. When they are open you won’t find anything special but the food they do have isn’t bad. You will have a better time if you book one of the Firework dessert parties. Just know they are quite pricey but you can get a decent view of the fireworks.

11. TORTUGA TAVERN

This could be such a cool place to eat at. Just imagine eating at the tavern from the Pirates of the Caribbean movie. The smell of smoked food filling the eatery. The sounds of guns going off in the distance. It could be a once in a lifetime experience. Sadly this just is not the case.

The food here like the other two places just isn’t really good. The seating here is much better than Casey’s and you can normally find a seat. Bonus, most of its indoor seating. Great news for those hot summer months with the downpours and 90 plus days.

  • SEATING: 5 OUT OF 10
  • DON’T EAT: Hot Dogs
  • DO EAT: Ropa Viega

10.THE LUNCHING PAD

Again nothing special about this place. You can get a sandwich (currently sliced roast beef) or a hot dog as a meal. They also have Mickey Pretzels and churros. If you are looking to get a nice refreshing frozen coke this is the place to go.

hot dog, Magic Kingdom, Disney Dining Plan, DDP, WDW, Walt Disney World, quick service, food, restaurants, theme park,

I have found the lines to be short most of the time here. This is one of my go-to spots to get a cup of ice. I normally only have one or two people in front of me. Seating here is limited but most of it is covered. However, most of the seats are taken by people trying to escape the sun for a little bit.

09. GOLDEN OAK OUTPOST

This place is only opened seasonally but it’s worth the stop when it is open. The menu is always changing so it can be hard to say what to get and what not to get. For a quick service meal, they almost always have chicken nuggets and waffle fries.

With only 5 tables, seating is very hard to come by. However, you can walk right across the street and eat inside Pecos Bill.

08. GASTON’S TAVERN

Gaston's tavern, fantasy land, Magic Kingdom, Disney Dining Plan, DDP, WDW, Walt Disney World, quick service, food, restaurants, theme park,

“No one hits like Gaston, Matches wit like Gaston…” I don’t know about you but every time I go into Gaston’s Tavern that song pops into my head. This would be higher on my list if they offered more quick-service options. Sadly they do not but they do have that huge cinnamon roll.

Oh, and how can we forget about LeFou’s Brew. There’s no better way to start your Magic Kingdom Day than getting a Cinnamon Roll and a LeFou’s Brew at Gaston’s Tavern. Seating is limited but you can usually find a seat indoors if you go in the morning.

  • SEATING: 6 OUT OF 10
  • DON’T EAT:
  • DO EAT: Cinnamon Roll

07. COSMIC RAY’S STARLIGHT CAFE

Cosmic Ray’s is the kind of place you would expect to see in a Theme Park. A place that serves up burgers, salad’s, chicken sandwiches, and hot dogs. The typical theme park food. Just because it is typical and what you would expect doesn’t mean it’s not good.

They have a good selection to choose from. Everyone in your group should be able to find something they will like. Most of the seating is indoors with the AC on full blast. There is also plenty of seating. Finding a spot shouldn’t be too hard unless you go during peak meal times.

  • SEATING: 7 OUT OF 10

06. FRIAR’S NOOK

If you are a Tater Tots fan, this is the place for you. Buffalo Chicken Tots, Bacon Mac & Cheese tots. Do we need to say more? They even have tater tots and cheese sauce for the kids.

If you are looking for a quick breakfast at the Magic Kingdom that involves tater tots you are in luck. The Friar’s Nook is now serving sausage and gravy tots too. Sadly you won’t find any indoor seating and very limited outdoor seating. However, you can usually sit around one of the ramparts and have a wonderful view of Cinderella’s Castle while you enjoy your tots.

  • SEATING: 3 OUT OF 10
  • DON’T EAT: Nothing to note
  • DO EAT: Buffalo Chicken Tots

05. PINOCCHIO VILLAGE HAUS

The Pinocchio Village Haus, Fantasy Land, Magic Kingdom, Disney Dining Plan, DDP, WDW, Walt Disney World, quick service, food, restaurants, theme park,

If you are dreaming of eating pizza while touring the Magic Kingdom then you will want to visit Pinocchio Village Haus. They have several flatbreads to choose from. Pick from meat lovers, cheese and more.

While it is nowhere near as good as the pizza you will find in Philly or New York City it’s not bad for Orlando. Seating here is one of the best at all of the quick service locations. For seating, I would rank this 3rd or 4th. Plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor seating as well. Just try not to get the “it’s a small world” song stuck in your head.

  • SEATING: 8 OUT OF 10
  • DON’T EAT: Nothing to note
  • DO EAT: Meat Lovers Flatbread

04. SLEEPY HOLLOW

While they don’t have any meals you can use a quick service credit on (at least I don’t think so). They do have some amazing waffle sandwiches you just have to try. Everyone loves the Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich with Nutella.

For me, I go for the sweet and spicy chicken waffle. It is amazing and is a go-to dish for me when I visit the Magic Kingdom. The pretzel dog is very good too. Maybe pick up both and share them with your family. Or stuff it away in a bag to enjoy later while waiting in line. There are some tables around the place but are usually taken by guests enjoying their waffle sandwiches.

  • SEATING: 1 OUT OF 10
  • DON’T EAT: Nothing to note
  • DO EAT: Sweet and Spicy Waffle

03. BE OUR GUEST

You either love it or hate it. If you hate it. It’s because you couldn’t get a reservation or you think breakfast is overpriced. Both of which are true. Reservations are hard to get but not impossible. And yes you do need reservations for this quick-service location (only Breakfast and Lunch are Quick-Service).

be our guest, Magic Kingdom, Disney Dining Plan, DDP, WDW, Walt Disney World, quick service, food, restaurants, theme park, beast castle

I really enjoy breakfast here but then again I am usually on the dining plan. I would NOT pay the price for breakfast out of pocket. Lunch, on the other hand, is great for both those on the dining plan and people paying out of pocket. We’ve enjoyed everything that we tried here so anything you pick you can’t go wrong with.

There is tons of seating available. Sometimes you may have to walk around for a minute or seat in another area. There are 3 different rooms to pick from. Just know that the rose room is the coolest but also the darkest and has few tables. Check out our full review on Breakfast and Lunch.

02. COLUMBIA HARBOUR HOUSE

For me, it was tough to pick between Columbia Harbour House and my number one. If you are a seafood fan then this just might be your favorite quick service location in the Magic Kingdom. Maybe even all of Walt Disney World.

The trio platter is amazing (shrimp, chicken, fish) and the lobster roll with house-made chips is delicious. The food is just fantastic here. It is so mouthwatering. I promise you will not be disappointed.

As for the seating here. Don’t let the building fool you. There is tons of seating inside. Make sure you head upstairs for even more available seats. Plus they are all inside which is nice on those hot and humid Florida days. If you time it right you might even be inside enjoying a meal during those famous afternoons when it downpours.

01. PECOS BILL TALL TALE INN

I love Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn in Frontierland at the Magic Kingdom. Not only is the food amazing but the toppings bar is a great addition. Make your tacos, nachos, or fajitas how you want.

I visit this place every trip. The value is great whether on the dining plan or not.

The only thing I wish they had was a way to purchase more tortillas or nachos. You get so much meat, rice, beans that you always have leftovers. Sure you can make a mini salad with the fixings bar. But I’d rather have another tortilla or a handful of nachos.

Seating is indoors which is nice plus it is in a large area. Finding an open table usually isn’t too hard. Plus like many of the other locations, they have mobile ordering.

  • SEATING: 10 OUT OF 10
  • DON’T EAT: Nothing to note
  • DO EAT: Fajita Platter
