No matter which Walt Disney World theme park you visit. There is a high chance you will be looking at one point throughout the day to get a bite to eat. Most of us will want to grab something that is tasty but quick.
While Animal Kingdom doesn’t have the amount of quick-service locations as some of the other parks. They do have two of the best. You can read more about those two and the others here.
We looked at several things when considering our ranking for each quick-service location. Things like the food, atmosphere, and seating. The below quick-service locations all take quick-service credits. If you don’t see a place on the list it’s probably because they don’t take any Disney Dining Plan credits other than the snack credits.
6. PIZZAFARI

Unless you love really bad pizza. I’d skip this place at all costs. When you consider that Animal Kingdom is home to two of the best quick-service restaurants. I wouldn’t waste my time here at all. The pizza is bland and you can find better pizza at Papa Johns or Dominos.
The one bright spot about Pizzafari is the seating. Most of the seating is indoors. So if it is a really hot day or you have an afternoon downpour coming. It may be worth it to grab a cupcake and relax for a few minutes.
- SEATING: 7 out of 10
- DON’T EAT: Pizza
- DO EAT: Nothing to Note
5. HARAMBE MARKET
I don’t know about you but I do love a good Gyro. At Harambe Market they do sell Beef and Lamb Gyro as well as Chicken Gyros. It’s just missing something. I can’t put my finger on it but it’s missing something.
All of the seating is outdoors which sucks since Animal Kingdom always feels much hotter than the other parks. However, most of the tables are in the shade which does help keep them a little cooler.
- SEATING: 4 out of 10
- DON’T EAT: Nothing to Note
- DO EAT: Gyro’s (Won’t be the best you ever had but are decent)
4. RESTAURANTOSAURUS
I feel that Restaurantosaurus is one of those places that is trying to really improve the quality of their food. You will not find anything too crazy here. Mostly you will find burgers and chicken. They do have fried shrimp and you can even find the Impossible burger here.
BONUS: They have a small toppings bar to make your burger that much better.

One nice thing here is most of the seating is indoors and air-conditioned. Plus there is plenty of seating. Unless you are going smack dab in the middle of lunchtime. You shouldn’t have a problem finding a seat.
- SEATING: 7 out of 10
- DON’T EAT: Nothing to Note
- DO EAT: Burgers
3. YAK & YETI CAFE
Not to be confused with the table service location. However, they are right around the corner from one another. You will find Asian style food here and it is pretty good. The beef bowl and the chicken wrap are worth a try.
While there are plenty of tables around. They are all outside. Like we said before. Animal Kingdom feels about 5 degrees hotter than the rest of the parks. I don’t know why that is but trust me it does. If you are planning a trip in the summer be sure to check out our Orlando Summer Survival Guide.
- SEATING: 5 out of 10
- DON’T EAT: Nothing to Note
- DO EAT: Beef Bowl
2. SATU’LI CANTEEN
A place’s atmosphere can increase how you feel about a certain place. Luckily, Satu’li Canteen also has delicious food. The atmosphere is equally as amazing as the food. Vegans and non-vegans will both enjoy the Chili-Spiced tofu bowl. Meat eaters will go nutz for the grilled chicken or Shrimp and Noodle bowl.

If you haven’t figured it out yet I just love my indoor seating at quick-service locations around Walt Disney World. I usually go in mid-August and it is hot. Any chance to grab a bite to eat indoors is a plus. It also helps that there are so many things to check out. Disney did a great job designing the inside of this place.
- SEATING: 8 out of 10
- DON’T EAT: Nothing to Note
- DO EAT: All
1. FLAME TREE BARBECUE

It’s no surprise that Flame Tree BBQ is my number one Quick-Service location at Animal Kingdom. By no means is this the best Barbecue you will ever eat. It is very good though. Plus this place is a great value for those on the Disney Dining Plans and those paying out of pocket.
The best meal to get here is the Ribs, Chicken and Pulled Pork Sampler meal. You get a large portion that is big enough for two adults to share. If you are just looking for a quick satisfying snack the Pulled Pork cheese fries are the way to go. Plus you can use a snack credit on them. That is one of the best deals in all of Walt Disney World.
The only thing that Flame Tree Barbecue is lacking is its seating. It’s all outdoor tables. However, there are so many of them you won’t have a hard time finding a seat. You just might be walking pretty far away. Go around back to enjoy your meal while getting a great view of Everest.

Do you agree with our list? Did we forget any locations or were we just way off with our rankings? Let us know in the comments below. If you can only visit one of these places I would flip a coin between Satu’li and Flame Tree. I would just have a two-headed coin and pick Flame Tree as heads.
