DDP Disney Disney World Hollywood Studios Uncategorized

Hollywood Studios Quick-Service Ranked

Let’s sit a minute and think about Hollywood Studios. What’s the first thing that comes to mind? Is it Galaxy’s Edge or Toy Story Land? What about the Disney World theme park with the most Thrill Rides? Or could it be the great food at the quick-service locations?

I’m guessing the food at Hollywood Studios is the last thing on your mind. Name one place that you have to go to on each and every trip? I can name my go-to snack shack in Hollywood Studios (Epic Eats), but can’t name a place I have to eat at. I usually skip a meal here and park hop over to EPCOT or hit up Disney Springs.

However, Hollywood Studios does have a decent amount of places to pick from. There are 10 different quick-service restaurants to choose from. Sadly though the food is lacking at most of them. They are getting a little better and fingers crossed they will get there.

Everyone flocks here for Galaxy’s Edge and the amazing thrill rides. But no one is rushing over for the food. Let’s take a look at the different options here at Hollywood Studios.

10. PizzeRizzo (Seasonally)

If you were to put a list together of all quick-service locations at Walt Disney World. PizzeRizzo would be last on every single list. There is a reason this place is only opened seasonally and it’s not because everyone is trying to eat here and can’t keep it staffed.

If you want the worst pizza you have ever tired go here. Heck nowhere in Walt Disney World has no good pizza in my opinion. You are better off ordering from Papa Johns or Dominos. Of course, I live in the Northeast and we have some of the best pizza anywhere on earth.

This place tries to give off a New York Vibe. But it is so far from a New York style pizza it’s sad. I’d skip here at all costs. It’s not hard either. They are closed most of the time anyway.

09. Catalina Eddie’s

AH…. another pizza place. If you haven’t figured it out at this point I am not a fan of Disney pizza. Skip this place as well. Unless you like below average pizza. I’m sure your kids will enjoy it. So that’s a plus.

The only good thing I can say about this place. It’s located next to two other places. This way your kids can get pizza and you can grab something that’s a little bit better. They also have a decent amount of seating outside.

08. Dockside Diner

Hollywood Studios, Disney Dining Plan, DDP, WDW, Walt Disney World, quick service, food, restaurants, dockside diner

Definitely not my first pick for a quick service location. However, I would go here before I go to Casey’s in the Magic Kingdom. It’s the same kind of hot dog (at least I’m pretty sure it is). This place is much cleaner.

A big plus is the seating. I’ve never needed to walk around with a tray of food looking for a table or trash can to eat on top of. Nothing screams out at you to order. But the loaded nachos are pretty good and are great in a pinch.

07. Rosie’s All-American Cafe

You won’t find anything fancy here. Other than the fried green tomato sandwich you could find everything else all-around Disney and Hollywood Studios. You will find your typical WDW Hot Dogs and Burgers.

Rosie’s share seating with Catalina Eddie’s and Fairfax Fare. That means you shouldn’t have a problem finding a seat unless you are going during peak times.

06. Fairfax Fare

Hollywood Studios Quick Service, fairfax fare, Hollywood Studios, Disney Dining Plan, DDP, WDW, Walt Disney World, quick service, food, restaurants,

If you are looking for a filling meal at a great price Fairfax Fare is the place for you. The rice bowls and fajita combo are very delicious. Two adults could probably share. Two children could easily share one of the bowls.

Seating in the area is pretty good but it is outside. You’ll be out of the direct sun but you will NOT be in an air conditioned building. For my Jack and Coke fans. You can find that here. It will set you back $12 but if you must drink you will find it here.

05. Ranto Roasters

When at Ranto Roasters you get the Ranto Wrap. They have both breakfast and lunch varieties. Its pork sausage in Pita bread. Of course, there’s more to it than that but that’s the base. With everything together, it gives it a taste that’s out of this world

The theme here is amazing. The wrap is tasty. However, if you are dying to eat in Batuu I would skip Ranto’s and go to Docking Bay 7 instead.

04. Backlot Express

Boy, do we have a treat for you. Ok. Not really but you can get some burgers over at Backlot Express. The burgers are just like the others you can find in and around Walt Disney World (but nothing like Deluxe Burger).

There is a good amount of seating which makes this a pretty good location to escape the summer heat or rain. Just the food won’t be too good. It’s good enough just not great.

03. Woody’s Lunch Box

This place could have been so much better. However, it is still a great place. It’s just missing something for me. Not sure what that is but it’s missing something.

If you are looking for an interesting and tasty breakfast head over to Woody’s. The S’more French Toast Sandwich is the right combination of crazy and interesting. Plus who doesn’t love a pop tart? The Lunch Box Tarts are a great snack to give you that added boost during your day.

For lunch or dinner, you can’t go wrong with the Totchos (tater tot nachos) or the brisket melt. The grilled cheese is even good. I would just pay out of pocket here if you are trying to get the best bang for your buck on the Disney Dining Plan.

02. ABC Commissary

This place is a pretty good spot to grab a bite to eat for Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner. It has indoor seating which is great for the summer. You can either get out of the 100 degree heat or the downpours. So the seating is great but how is the food.

The food here is pretty good. I’d say it is average to slightly above average for Walt Disney World Quick-Service. The ribs are pretty good but you can find better ribs over at Animal Kingdom. The shrimp platter is delicious if you’re a fan of shrimp. Heck, you can’t go wrong with the salad here either.

If you are looking for breakfast after you try to secure your spot on Rise of the Resistance. Here is a great place. Try the fried chicken and donut. You might think it won’t work. But it does

01. Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo

The theming here would make this in the top two on its own. The theming here is EPIC. Galaxy’s edge as a whole is EPIC. But we aren’t talking about the theming. We are making a list of the food.

Docking Bay 7 has the best food in Hollywood Studios. Maybe it’s because it is the newest location. But the Batuuan Beef Pot Roast is tasty and delicious. Plus who doesn’t want to try anything that has Endorian in its name? This is also a great place for breakfast. Grab a Mustafarian Cinnamon Roll and explore a galaxy far, far away.

Are you surprised by the number of places you can get a quick-service meal at Hollywood Studios? How many have you gone to? Are you surprised to find out you have the same number of options here as you do at EPCOT? I know I was.
