Be Our Guest breakfast and lunch quick service review at Magic Kingdom

Be Our Guest Restaurant is one of those places in Walt Disney World that you have to visit at least once like Cinderella’s Royal Table or Chef Mickey’s. However, I feel the food at both breakfast and lunch is better than at either place.

While a little on the pricier side if you are paying out of pocket. This place offers great value if you are using one of your quick service dining credits. That’s right both breakfast and lunch are quick service credits.

However, you did need to reserve this place 180 days in advance. Trying to get a reservation after 180 days is tough but doable. It is very popular but you will find mixed reviews if guest find it worth it.

Again I would not be paying $29 for an adult breakfast out of pocket. Especially when you consider the Breakfast buffet over at Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club Resort is between $35-$40.

Now lunch is a little more reasonable with prices ranging from $14-$18. All of the deserts cost around $5. If you want to visit Be Our Guest and are not on the dining plan lunch is the better value.

Now tie your napkin’ around your neck, and we’ll provide the rest.

BREAKFAST

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. I just love eggs, bacon, potatoes. hash, and all the rest. Be Our Guest has a great selection for breakfast for both kids and adults.

Every table gets a Pastry Tray with their breakfast. I’ve had a party of 2, 4, and 6 and still only gotten 1 pastry tray. All of the different pastry’s taste amazing. Of course if there is only 2 of you, you get more.

I usually end up getting Feast A La Gaston. It comes with bacon, sausage, eggs, potatoes and fresh fruit. It definitely isn’t the best breakfast I’ve ever had but it is pretty good.

Other options for Adults include Croissant Doughnut, open face Bacon and Ham sandwiches, and french toast. My family that has eaten the Open face Bacon sandwich said it was very good. I think I will try that one on my next trip.

My daughter ordered the Scrambled Eggs de Maurice. She enjoyed it very much. It comes with Mickey Shaped egg with cheddar, bacon and fresh fruit.

Even though the eggs were not scrambled. I really like how they made the eggs in the shape of Mickey. Kind of like the Mickey waffles but made with eggs. It was pretty neat.

For those of you that could only get a breakfast reservation and wanted to try the Master’s Cupcake. You can order it with your breakfast. It is a snack credit and I am on the fence about it. I enjoy it and get it every time I go but it isn’t the best cupcake at WDW.

LUNCH

When paying out of pocket lunch is a much cheaper option. Prices for lunch are between $15 and $18 for the entree. Desserts cost $5 each and are very good.

On my most recent trip I ordered the French Dip Sandwich. I found that the sandwich was VERY dry. The Au jus that comes with it helps but still not enough.

I have ordered the Croque Monsieur before which is a ham sandwich and that was much better. As far as sandwiches go next time I’ll order the Ham Sandwich instead of the French Dip.

You can also order French Onion Soup, 2 different salads (Shrimp or Chicken), seared tuna or braised chicken. Be Our Guest also has a vegetarian meal. It is white Cannellini Beans with Onions, Red Peppers, Zucchini, Eggplant, Tomatoes, Garlic, and Fresh Herbs served with Broccolini.

The kids menu is pretty basic which is good for most kids. They have a turkey sandwich, grilled shrimp, slow cooked chicken, grilled cheese and Macaroni with Marinara Sauce.

Of course my daughter got the macaroni with butter instead of marinara. When placing your order you can ask for butter instead of the marinara sauce. As you can see it comes with mozzarella cheese and broccoli. She enjoyed her whole meal. Of course she liked the dessert more.

DESSERT

We all remember the song from Beauty and the Beast. But most people who eat here are not the dishes. While I enjoy the Grey Stuff, many people do not feel the same way.

The cake below is nothing special but still very good and moist. The grey stuff is very sweet and delicious. One of our go to desserts on every trip. However, I may have found my new go to dessert at Be Our Guest.

The Crème Brûlée was very, very good. Loved the fresh fruit on top. And the sugar shaped Mickey was a nice little touch. I would definitely recommend anyone to try this dessert out. You won’t be disappointed.

RESTAURANT

For breakfast and lunch Be Our Guest is a quick service location but you need a reservation. If you want to eat here you will NEED to book it as close to 180 days as you can. You can get lucky like I did and get a lunch reservation at 11:15 two months out.

This place is broken into 3 different seating areas and you pick your own seats. It can get very crowded and be very difficult to find a seat. My tip is when you find an open table grab it. You may not find another one for a few minutes.

Once you walk in you will see the Grand Ballroom. Just note that this is the largest room of the three. To the left you will find the West Wing (AKA the rose room) and to the right you will the Castle Gallery. The Castle Gallery has a huge spinning Beauty and the Beast statue.

The West Wing is dark and can be scary for younger children. Every couple of minutes you hear thunder and see some lighting. The picture on the wall will change for a quick second and the rose will lose a petal. It is pretty fun to watch.

When you are up to 30 days away from your reservation date you can preorder your breakfast or lunch. I have always done this and it is a great time saver. You check out in front and they give you a yellow rose to take inside with you to hand off to another cast member.

If you happen to get a breakfast reservation before park opening and finish your meal before the park opens you could be in for a little treat. Be Our Guest is right near Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and you could get in line before most of the rest of the park.

This could be a great time saver if you didn’t get a FastPass for 7DMT. Get a great breakfast and ride one of the most popular rides in Walt Disney World before 8:30.
