Get Lost in Nature in the PA Wilds

If you are looking for a hidden treasure in PA, you will have to travel far from the city lights and out into the PA Wilds. This area of Pennsylvania has some of the most interesting and unique state parks, forest, and towns in all of PA.
Go hiking and get lost (not actually lost) within the 2 million acres of land. Go fishing or boating on the many lakes and streams. Pitch a tent and sleep up the stars. What you do is really up to you.
With so many things to see and do, you might never want to leave. Before you do, make sure you check out Cherry Springs State Park for the darkest skies on the east coast. Or take a trip to Kinzua Bridge State Park and see “One of the World’s Top 10 Most Beautiful Skywalks and Viewpoints in the World” by the Culture Trip, U.K.!

Travel along the Elk Scenic Drive to get a chance to see some wild elk roam. Or travel along the scenic route 6 and make some stops along the way at the Allegheny Reservoir, Pine Creek Gorge, or the PA Lumber Museum. Make sure you also stop in Coudersport or Wellsboro. National Geographic PA Route 6 “one of America’s most scenic drives.” After only a few minutes you will agree.
The PA Wilds have quickly become one of my favorite places to visit each year. Every time I visit I stumble upon something new and interesting and I can’t wait till my next visit to see what I find.
