The La Quinta Inn in St Augustine Florida is in a convenient location right off of I-95 about an hour into your journey into Florida. You’ll find yourself minutes away from plenty of shopping options at the St Augustine Premium Outlets and a ton of food options. Plus, you are only a couple miles away from the main attractions of St Augustine.
If you’re looking to save a little money on your hotel stay but don’t want to sacrifice cleanliness. The La Quinta Inn has got you covered. While the hotel is a little on the smaller size, it makes up for it with its comfortable beds.
Below we will go over the room, the overall hotel, and things to do in the area. Hope you are ready to see everything that this place has to offer a traveler like yourself. It’s a great place to stop at if you’ve had a long drive down to Florida and planning on see more of Florida in the coming days.
The Room

I ended up booking a 2 queen bed suite with the points I has saved from being a Wyndham rewards member. The suite and the standard room were the same amount of points. However, if you were to pay by cash, it’s around a $15 difference when I was looking on a Sunday in July.
The room was a nice size with two queen beds and a small little couch and sitting area. The beds were very comfortable and made for a great night of sleep after travel down I 95 for over 13 hours from Philadelphia. I didn’t have a problem falling asleep or staying asleep.
The bathroom in the room was a great size, too. You should have no issues having two people use the sink in the morning to get ready. Plus, there is plenty of room to change. The water pressure in the shower and sink was fantastic.

However, the flushing power of the toilet was a little lacking. Our room was located on the top floor (third floor) of the hotel. That could have played a role in that but I don’t think so.
Also in the room you will found a nice size desk with a comfortable chair. A mini fridge, microwave, and small coffee maker can also be found in the room.
Hotel Overview

The La Quinta Inn in St Augustine is your typical budget friendly hotel. You will found an inviting lobby. A small outdoor pool area and small fitness center.
All of the areas were nice and clean. You really couldn’t ask for more. Since this isn’t a sprawling resort on the beach, how much time do you really plan to stay here for?

One of the major draws in a hotel for me when I am traveling is if the hotel offers a free breakfast or not. Out of the few Wyndham hotels off of 95 in this area, the La Quinta Inn was the only one that offered it.
The breakfast that was offered was very good. While it didn’t have a ton of options, it had what you would typically find at other Wyndham hotels.
You’ll find a nice selection of muffins, bread, and bagel. The eggs were surprisingly cooked very well and the sausage links weren’t bad either. Of course, you will also find a make your own waffles station.
